Safeguarding
Child Protection Policy
Last updated: January 2025. At FlyHigh Pre School, the safety, dignity, and well-being of every child is our highest and non-negotiable priority. This policy outlines how we uphold that commitment every single day.
Our Commitment
Every child who walks through our doors deserves to feel completely safe — physically, emotionally, and psychologically. FlyHigh Pre School is committed to creating and maintaining an environment where children are protected from all forms of harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and where their voices are heard and respected.
This is not a compliance document. It is a living commitment that guides every hire we make, every system we install, and every policy we set.
How We Keep Your Child Safe
Safe Environment
13 CCTV cameras cover every classroom, corridor, and play area. Only police-verified staff are permitted on campus. All entry and exit points are monitored.
Verified Staff
Every member of staff — teaching and non-teaching — undergoes thorough police background verification before joining FlyHigh Pre School.
Active Supervision
Children are never left unsupervised. Staff-to-child ratios are strictly maintained. Any visitor to the campus must be logged and accompanied at all times.
Emotional Safety
We train our educators to recognise signs of distress in children. Any child who appears upset, withdrawn, or scared is given immediate attention and care.
Immediate Escalation
If a child is unwell, injured, or shows signs of distress, parents/guardians are contacted immediately. We do not delay or minimise any safety concern.
Zero Tolerance
FlyHigh Pre School has a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of physical, verbal, or emotional harm to a child — by any person, on or off campus.
Photo & Media Consent
FlyHigh Pre School will never photograph, film, or share images or videos of children without explicit prior written consent from their parent or guardian. This applies to:
- School website and gallery
- Social media and marketing materials
- Internal school communications and newsletters
- Annual day or event recordings
Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Children whose parents have not given consent will not appear in any school media — and this will never affect their participation in school activities.
Staff Code of Conduct
All FlyHigh staff are required to:
- Complete police background verification before joining.
- Never be alone with a child in an unmonitored space.
- Report any suspected abuse, neglect, or safeguarding concern immediately to the school director.
- Never use physical punishment, raised voices, or threatening language with children.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with all children and families.
- Attend safeguarding awareness training as required by the school.
Raising a Concern
If you as a parent have any concern about the safety, well-being, or treatment of your child or any child at FlyHigh Pre School, please contact us immediately. Your concern will be taken seriously, treated confidentially, and acted upon without delay.
Regulatory Compliance
This policy is designed to comply with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (POCSO), the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP), and applicable Karnataka state education regulations.
